Pest Control – Fleas
Important things to know about fleas if you have an infestation
Fleas spread diseases and carry bacteria that affect humans, a common example being Bartonella Henselae, which is the bacteria that leads to ‘cat scratch disease’.
The eggs of fleas are incredibly hard to kill. They can go one to two weeks without eating, while a female flea can lay up to 50 eggs per day.
Signs of fleas
- Pets that scratch, lick, or bite their fur excessively
- Hives, a rash or swollen bites on your body
- Fleas found in your upholstered furniture, pet bedding and carpets/rugs
